Vigilance raid reveals high-value assets linked to ex-Odisha engineer

Bhubaneswar, Aug 12: Odisha Vigilance sleuths have uncovered significant assets linked to Tara Prasad Mishra, the former Chief Engineer of Roads & Building (Civil) in Odisha.
During simultaneous searches on properties associated with Mishra, investigators found high-value flats in Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda, multiple plots, substantial bank deposits, gold, cash, luxury cars, and branded wristwatches.
Specifically, the assets include flats in various upscale apartment complexes such as Arpan Apartment, Cosmopolis, Falcon Crest, Grand Awas, Assotech, and Ashiana Apartment. Additionally, seven plots were discovered in prime areas of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Jatani. The Vigilance Department also reported the recovery of substantial amounts of cash, gold, and foreign currencies from several countries, along with a significant amount spent on medical education for Mishra's daughter.
Luxury items such as branded wristwatches, including a Rolex, and luxury cars like a Mercedes Benz and a KIA Seltos were also found. The Vigilance Technical Wing is currently assessing the value of these assets, and further searches are ongoing.
