Mystery surrounds death of Tangi veterinary hospital worker
Bhubaneswar, Aug 10: An employee of the Government Tangi Veterinary Hospital was found hanging in his quarters.
The deceased, identified as Titu Patra, was a fourth-class employee who had worked at the hospital for the past six years.
According to sources, Titu was a resident of Uttarana village under Adaspur police limits. He usually opened the hospital every morning, but he failed to report to work on Friday. This prompted his colleagues to visit his quarters. When they found the door locked, they informed the police.
Acting on a tip-off, police rushed to the spot, broke open the door, and discovered Titu hanging from the ceiling.
At this point, it is unclear whether Titu's death was a murder or a suicide. The police are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of his death.
