Kerala landslide: Body of missing Odia doctor recovered

Bhubaneswar, July 31: The body of Dr. Bishnu Prasad Chinra, one of the two Odia doctors who went missing in the devastating landslides in Wayanad, Kerala, has been recovered.
State Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari confirmed the news.
Meanwhile, the Odisha government has dispatched a team led by Dilip Routray for the identification of the body. The body will be brought back to Odisha after verification, sources reported.
Dr. Chinra, a resident of Choudwar, was vacationing with his wife Priyadharini Pal and friends Dr. Swadhin Panda and his wife Swikruti Mohapatra when the landslide occurred on Monday night. The group had left Bengaluru for an outing on July 26, heading to Wayanad, Kerala. They were staying at Linara Villa. Tragically, landslides hit the Meppadi, Mundakkai Town, and Chooral Mala hill areas on Monday night, flooding various populated areas with mud water.
Priyadharini and Swikruti were rescued after the landslide and are currently undergoing treatment. However, Dr. Swadhin Panda is still missing.
