IMD predicts heavy rainfall across multiple districts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, July 27: A low-pressure area has formed in the Bay of Bengal and its surrounding regions, which is expected to bring heavy rainfall to several districts in Odisha, as predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The latest IMD forecast indicates that today, heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is very likely in one or two places across the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Bolangir, Nuapada, Sonepur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Angul, Deogarh, Boudh, and Kalahandi.
For July 28, heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is expected at one or two locations in Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Nuapada, and Nabarangpur. On July 29, similar rainfall is anticipated in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Balasore.
A yellow warning has been issued for heavy rainfall in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur on July 30. The IMD predicts heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) in these areas.
On July 31, heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) is forecasted for one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Deogarh, Malkangiri, Koraput, and Rayagada.
