CM Majhi extends greetings on Niladri Bije and Rasagola Divas
Bhubaneswar, July 19: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his best wishes to all on the occasions of Niladri Bije and Rasagola Divas on Friday.
Taking to his X handle, the CM wrote: “Many greetings on the occasion of the holy Niladri Bije and Rasagola Day. Chaturdhamurthy will be crowned today at Ratna Singhasan after their nine-day-long sojourn. On this occasion, Lord Jagannath offers delicious Rasagola to his beloved wife to pacify her anger.”
Niladri Bije is also celebrated as Rasagola Divas in Odisha. Lord Jagannath, after returning from Gundicha temple with his elder brother and sister, pacifies the anger of Goddess Mahalakshmi by offering her Rasagolas.
Niladri Bije marks the concluding ritual of the historic Rath Yatra, which commenced on July 7 when the celestial siblings embarked on their nine-day trip to Gundicha temple, regarded as their birthplace.
