Ambulance crash claims patient's life, leaves four seriously injured
Bhubaneswar, July 19: An ambulance accident in Jajpur district, Odisha, reported on Friday, resulted in the death of a patient and critical injuries to four others.
The accident occurred at Tauntara Square under the Binjharpur police station limits. Four people were critically injured, and the patient, identified as Anand Jena, died on the spot.
Jena, a resident of Binjharpur, had been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. He had recovered and was returning home when the accident happened.
The ambulance allegedly lost balance and hit a roadside tree. Locals and police rushed the injured to a nearby hospital. The police have recovered the body and sent it for postmortem. An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
