Darshan of Lord Jagannath to close at 5 PM tomorrow for Bahuda Yatra

Bhubaneswar, July 13: Darshan of Lord Jagannath and his siblings will be closed from 5 pm tomorrow in preparation for the Bahuda Yatra, scheduled for Monday.
Puri Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain informed the media that the deities will return to their abode, Srimandir, after spending nine days at the Gundicha temple.
The preparations began on Friday with the Dakhina Moda of all the chariots. The Darpadalan and Taldhwaj chariots of Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra were turned southward on Friday, and today, the Nandighosh chariot was also turned southward. The three chariots are now parked in front of the Nakachana door of the Gundicha temple. Devotees can have darshan of the deities until 5 pm tomorrow, after which the temple doors will be closed, the Collector said.
Elaborate arrangements have been made for the Lord's return journey. Initially, the darshan was scheduled to close at 4 pm, but the administration has extended it to 5 pm.
