Odisha to experience light to moderate rainfall over next five days

Bhubaneswar, July 9: Odisha will experience light to moderate rainfall over the next five days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday. The IMD forecast indicates that rain intensity will increase after July 11. However, the southern regions of the state are expected to see heavy rainfall today.
The weather bulletin suggests that rain intensity may decrease starting Tuesday. The IMD predicts heavy rain in the districts of Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Kandhamal, and Gajapati over the next 24 hours due to cyclonic circulation over the West-central Bay of Bengal near the south Andhra Pradesh coast.
For July 10, thunderstorms with lightning are likely in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati. Similar conditions are expected on July 11 in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, and Ganjam.
On July 12, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely in several districts of Odisha. The same conditions are predicted for July 13. The weather bulletin also indicates that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected in various districts of Odisha on July 14, 15, and 16.
