Bhubaneswar, July 5: A Class X student was found unconscious after being ambushed by five miscreants who forcibly injected him with an unknown substance on his way to school.

The incident occurred in Gabajora village, under the jurisdiction of Manamunda police, in Boudh district. The victim, identified as Sambit Bag, son of Kasi Bag from Tulasikata village, was on his way to Gabajora High School when the attack happened.

Sources report that the five miscreants injected Sambit, causing him to lose consciousness. Alarmed locals witnessed the incident and raised an alarm, prompting the miscreants to flee the scene.

Locals rescued Sambit and informed his family, who then rushed him to Sonepur Hospital for treatment. As of the latest reports, Sambit is still undergoing medical care.

Sambit's family remains in the dark about the identity of the attackers and their motive. It is suspected that the miscreants may have intended to abduct the student and used the injection as part of their plan.
