Stranded Odisha workers in dubai seek urgent help from CM Majhi

Bhubaneswar, June 29: A group of migrant workers from Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, and Kendrapara districts in Odisha are stranded in Dubai and have made a desperate appeal to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and BJP National Vice-President Baijayant Panda for rescue from their exploitative employer.
The workers, employed as plumbers, have reported mental and physical torture, non-payment of salaries, and confiscation of their passports by their employer.
According to sources, these workers were deceived by a private agent from Bhubaneswar who promised lucrative plumbing jobs in Dubai. Upon arrival, they were subjected to torture and exploitation by their employer, who confiscated their passports, leaving them stranded and unable to return home.
In a heart-wrenching video message, the workers detailed their plight. They alleged that they had been deprived of food for five days and were forced to work in extreme conditions for long hours without pay. They also claimed their employer was threatening their lives.
Through the video message, the workers have urgently requested Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and BJP leader Baijayant Panda to intervene and rescue them.
