Blood-stained body of bar dancer discovered in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, May 31: Mystery surrounds the death of a girl whose blood-stained body was discovered in a house at Shivsakti Nagar, under Pahala police limits, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Friday.
The deceased, identified as Charu Malhotra from Chandigarh, was employed as a bar dancer at an establishment on Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Road.
Reports indicate that around 25 girls were residing in the building at Shivsakti Nagar. Initially, the death appears to be a case of suicide.
Senior police officials have arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. Besides registering a case of unnatural death, the police are examining the deceased's chats, mobile call records, and other social media accounts.
