Odisha launches 'Mo Booth App' to streamline voting process

Bhubaneswar, May 15: On Wednesday, the Odisha government launched the 'Mo Booth App' to enhance voter convenience. This mobile application is designed to assist voters by providing essential information about their polling stations.
With the Mo Booth App, voters can easily locate their polling station and find the best route to reach it. Additionally, the app offers real-time updates on the number of people currently waiting in line at their polling station.
State Chief Electoral Officer Nikunj Dhal officially launched the Mo Booth App, which was developed by the Khurda District Administration. Initially, the app will be implemented across all constituencies in the Khurda district.
Previously, voters in Bhubaneswar faced challenges in locating their polling booths. The Mo Booth App aims to address this issue by providing precise booth locations. For Block Level Officers (BLO), the app allows them to update the number of voters in the queue, which is then shared with citizens and officials.
Sector Officers can use the app to update several key pieces of information in real time, including:
The arrival status of the polling party at the booth
The status of the mock poll and actual poll
The completion status of polling and departure of the polling party from the booth
Additionally, Sector Officers can request assistance through the app by reporting issues such as law and order problems or EVM malfunctions (both AC and PC). A central dashboard will be available for Sector Officers and District Officers to monitor and review all provided information.
