IMD forecasts temperature rise, thunderstorms in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, May 14: The India Meteorological Department's regional center has forecasted a temperature increase of two to four degrees over the next three days in Odisha.
According to the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, there will be "no large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next three days and a rise by two-four degrees Celsius at many places over the districts of Odisha."
Meanwhile, for today, the weather department has issued yellow alerts for several districts including Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nawarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar.
Furthermore, heavy rain is predicted to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, and Kandhamal.
Looking ahead to tomorrow, the IMD has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms with lightning in the districts of Kandhamal, Kalahandi, and Rayagada.
