Odisha CM's helicopter diverted to Jharsuguda Airport due to bad weather
Bhubaneswar, May 6: Bad weather forces Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's helicopter to make an emergency landing in Jharsuguda today, as it couldn't land in Bhubaneswar as scheduled.
Patnaik, accompanied by senior BJD leader and 5T chairman VK Pandian, was scheduled to land at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar after addressing a political public meeting in Khariar, Nuapada district. However, adverse weather conditions, including rain and wind in the state capital, prevented the landing.
After hovering for approximately 30 minutes in hopes of improved weather, Patnaik's helicopter was redirected to Jharsuguda airport for an emergency landing.
It is worth mentioning that campaigning for the upcoming elections is at its zenith in Odisha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the public in Berhampur today and is scheduled to participate in another public meeting later in Nabarangpur. During these gatherings, the PM implored the public to support the party and contribute to its success in the elections.
