Commissionerate Police apprehends notorious fake police gang

Bhubaneswar, April 23: The Commissionerate Police has apprehended seven individuals belonging to a notorious gang specializing in impersonating police officers to commit thefts. The group, known for targeting unsuspecting individuals and robbing them of cash, jewelry, and other valuables, was nabbed following a thorough investigation by Bhubaneswar UPD.
The arrested individuals, identified as Sadekh Hussain (56), Sabir Ali (33), Fayaz Hussain (36), Hasan Ali (20), Abuzar Ali (23), Zahir Ali (34), and Rajendra Kumar Kushabaha (32), hail from various districts in Madhya Pradesh. Sadekh Hussain leads the gang, with Rajendra Kumar Kushabaha serving as their designated driver.
Over the course of three months, several incidents of "fake police cheating and snatching" were reported across Bhubaneswar UPD, with the perpetrators speaking Hindi and operating across state lines. Their targets primarily included elderly individuals and solitary walkers during evening or morning hours.
The police operation successfully dismantled the gang and recovered stolen cash, gold ornaments, and other incriminating evidence from their possession.
