Heat wave warning issued for seven Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar, April 23: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Odisha has issued a heat wave warning for seven districts, effective tomorrow.
According to forecasts, heat wave conditions are expected in isolated areas of Balasore, Khurda, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, and Nuapada. A Yellow Warning has been issued for these districts.
Additionally, hot and humid weather is anticipated in some areas of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
The Meteorological Centre also predicts that maximum temperatures will remain relatively stable over the next 48 hours, followed by a gradual rise of 2-4°C in the subsequent three days across many parts of Odisha.
According to the latest update from the Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, Bhubaneswar experienced scorching temperatures, reaching 41.8°C on Tuesday, making it the hottest city in Odisha once again.
Chandbali followed closely as the second hottest city in the state, recording a temperature of 40.4°C, while Balasore ranked third with a temperature of 40.3°C. As of 2:30 pm today, Bhubaneswar maintained its position as the hottest city in Odisha.
