Odisha anticipates rainfall in several districts

Bhubaneswar, March 4: The India Meteorological Department's regional center predicts a reprieve from the scorching temperatures as light to moderate rain and thundershowers are anticipated across various districts in Odisha on Monday.
Under the influence of western disturbances, districts such as Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, and Angul are likely to witness rainfall over the next 24 hours.
On Tuesday, similar weather patterns are expected in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, and Jajpur. However, coastal and interior regions of Odisha are anticipated to remain dry.
While some districts in south Odisha, including Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, and Ganjam, have experienced temperatures several degrees above normal, hot conditions persist in coastal areas such as Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Angul, and Dhenkanal.
Malkangiri registered the highest temperature on Sunday at 37°C, with 13 other locations in the state recording maximum temperatures of 35°C or higher.
