CM Naveen approves salary hike for Multilingual Education Volunteers

Bhubaneswar, Marc 2: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced a significant increase in the remuneration for Multilingual Education Volunteers, raising it from Rs. 5,379 to Rs. 10,000.
Additionally, he instructed relevant authorities to regularize multilingual teachers in the SC and ST Development, Minority Community, and Backward Classes Welfare Departments based on merit. The decision was made following careful consideration of their demands. Multilingual Education Volunteers (MLE(EV)), deployed by the Department of Schools and Mass Education, play a crucial role in encouraging tribal children to pursue education in districts with a significant tribal population.
This decision comes after the attention of 5-T Chairman Kartik Pandian was drawn to the matter during his visits to various districts.
