Bhubaneswar's Space Town apartment robberies solved: Nine perpetrators apprehended

Bhubaneswar, Feb 29: The Commissionerate Police on Thursday apprehended nine individuals linked to a string of burglaries at Space Town Apartment within Mancheswar police jurisdiction, occurring on the nights of December 11 and 12 of the previous year.
As per an official statement, law enforcement confiscated four motorcycles, Rs 3.20 lakh in cash, 1.5 kg of silver ornaments, a 12 gm gold chain, gold jewelry, 8 mobile phones, and tools used for housebreaking from the possession of the apprehended suspects.
The arrested individuals are identified as follows: Bablu Dalai (20), Santu alias Santosh Kumar Dash (20), Bishnu Pradhan (30), Prasant Behera (20), Bulu Patra (42), Dada alias Gisrish Naik (45), Ranjan Raula (24), Mryutanjaya Sahu (58), and Amit Kumar Jena (20). All accused originate from Ganjam district.
Operating across various regions of the state including Puri, Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Ganjam, and Jharsuguda, the accused typically reside in Chhatisgarh, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Surat, and Andhra Pradesh while perpetrating crimes in Odisha. Their modus operandi involves reconnaissance during daylight hours and execution of criminal activities during the night, primarily between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM.
The suspects have existing criminal cases against them in several police precincts, including Laxmisagar, Infocity, Tamando, Airfield, and Bharatpur.
