Transformation in education: 576 Teachers join state schools

Bhubaneswar, Feb 22: On Thursday, a cohort of 576 Hindi and Sanskrit teachers commenced their roles across various government high schools in the state. Among them, 368 are Hindi teachers, while 208 are designated for Sanskrit instruction.
Their induction into service transpired during an orientation program and recruitment ceremony held at the convention center in Lok Seva Bhawan, in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Patnaik emphasized the transformative power of education, urging the teachers to instill ambition in their students and serve as exemplary figures. He underscored the success of the 5T School Transformation Programme, noting its impact on school infrastructure and educational standards statewide.
Highlighting the program's achievements, Patnaik mentioned the establishment of 4,605 new classrooms, 16,920 smart classrooms, 7,863 modern laboratories, and 7,920 e-libraries across high schools.
Furthering the commitment to educational enhancement, Patnaik announced the appointment of 4,742 teachers at the secondary level in the current academic year. Minister of School and Public Education Sudam Marndi echoed Patnaik's sentiments, stressing the pivotal role of educators in fostering moral development alongside academic progress. He commended the Education Department's dedication to the 5T principles and emphasized education's role in national advancement.
