IMD forecasts rain and fog across various districts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Jan 24: Several regions in Odisha are currently under the influence of cold weather, characterized by overcast conditions and intermittent light to moderate rainfall.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) provided updates on Wednesday, indicating the presence of a trough extending from South Interior Karnataka to interior Odisha, passing through North Interior Karnataka. Additionally, a cyclonic circulation is reported over Vidarbha and south Chhattisgarh at an altitude of 0.9 km above mean sea level.
According to the IMD forecast, there is expected to be minimal change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) over the next 24 hours, followed by a decline of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in many places during the subsequent three days.

Light to moderate rain/thundershower likely in numerous locations across the districts of North Odisha.
Yellow Warning: Dense fog expected at one or two places in districts including Kandhamal, Angul, Dhenkanal, Sonepur, Boudh, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 25.01.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 26.01.2024):
Light rain anticipated in one or two places in the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput.
Yellow Warning: Dense fog likely at one or two places in districts including Kalahandi, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Boudh, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jajpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda.
