Weather dynamics in Odisha: Rainfall and fog patterns across the region

Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar reported that over the past 24 hours, coastal districts in Odisha experienced light to moderate rainfall, while interior districts witnessed such precipitation at one or two locations.
Additionally, the meteorological center noted the occurrence of shallow to moderate fog in certain areas across Odisha, with dense to very dense fog observed in specific spots in Balangir and Nayagarh.
The minimum temperatures recorded a significant drop in parts of north interior Odisha, a noticeable decrease in a few locations in north coastal Odisha, and one or two places in north interior Odisha. In contrast, other districts in Odisha saw no substantial change in minimum temperatures, as stated by the meteorological center.
The forecast for the next 24 hours anticipates light to moderate rain or thundershowers in specific districts, including Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Sonepur, Boudh, and one or two places in the remaining districts of South Odisha, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sambalpur, and Bargarh. Dry weather is expected to prevail in the rest of Odisha during this period.
Moreover, dense fog is likely to occur in one or two places in Angul, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sambalpur.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, the forecast predicts light to moderate rain or thundershowers in a few places in south Odisha, north coastal Odisha, and one or two locations in the remaining districts of Odisha.
