Former Odisha MP and renowned IPS officer Anadi Charan Sahu passes away

Cuttack, Jan 20: Anadi Charan Sahu, a former Member of Parliament from Odisha and a retired IPS officer, has passed away at the age of 83 in his residence in Cuttack. Suffering from age-related ailments, Sahu breathed his last at his house in the CDA area of Cuttack on Saturday night, according to family sources.
Following his retirement from the police force, Sahu entered active politics and was elected to the 6th Lok Sabha from the Berhampur constituency as a BJP candidate in 1999.
During his tenure as an IPS officer, he was honored with the President’s Police Medal and Distinguished Service Medal for his commendable service.
In addition to his distinguished career in law enforcement, Sahu was also a celebrated litterateur.
