Odisha gears up for Srimandir Parikrama Prakalpa inauguration on January 17

Puri, Jan 11: The completion of the Srimandir Parikrama Prakalpa, also known as the Srimandir Heritage Corridor Project, is set for today, with its grand unveiling to the public scheduled for this Friday. The Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation Limited (OBCC) is on track to hand over the project to the district administration on January 11.
In preparation for the inauguration ceremony on January 17, Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, the advisor to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, conducted a comprehensive review of various project aspects.
To manage the anticipated influx of devotees, Mahapatra announced plans to deploy about 60 buses to Puri from various districts in the state. Additionally, over 50 platoons of police force and more than 30 officials will be strategically placed to ensure the smooth conduct of the inauguration ceremony.
The Odisha government is actively gearing up for the momentous event, where Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to partake in the concluding ceremony of Yajna and the public dedication of the Parikrama Project.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has meticulously curated a list of temples and invited guests expected to grace the inauguration ceremony. The event is poised to draw devotees not only from various parts of the country but also from abroad.
