President Droupadi Murmu arrives in Odisha

Baripada, Nov 20: President Droupadi Murmu commenced her three-day visit to Odisha, arriving in Baripada town via a special Indian Air Force chopper on Monday. Welcoming her at Baripada Police Reserve Fields was Odisha Governor Raghubar Das.
The President then proceeded to Saheed Smruti Bhawan, where she graced the inaugural session of the 36th Annual Conference and Literary Festival of the All India Santali Writers’ Association.
Later in the itinerary, President Murmu is set to inaugurate the Eklavya Model Residential School at Kuliana. On November 21, she will unveil a skill training centre in Pahadpur village. Following this, she plans to visit Badampahar railway station to launch three new trains (Badampahar-Tatanagar MEMU, Badampahar-Rourkela Weekly Express, and Badampahar-Shalimar Weekly Express). Additionally, she will inaugurate the new Rairangpur postal division, release a commemorative cover for the division, and lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Badampahar railway station.
To conclude her day, President Murmu will travel from Badampahar to Rairangpur in the Badampahar-Shalimar Express and attend the 15th annual convocation of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla, later in the evening.
