Odisha to experience rainfall as depression develops in Bay of Bengal

Bhubaneswar, Nov 13; The India Meteorological Department (IMD) announced that a low-pressure area is poised to develop over the Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours, likely evolving into a depression by November 16. Odisha is expected to experience rainfall from November 15 onwards.
"Within the next 24 hours, a Low Pressure Area is anticipated to emerge over the Southeast Bay of Bengal, eventually intensifying into a depression over the Central and adjoining South Bay of Bengal by November 16, 2023," the IMD reported in its morning bulletin.
As per the forecasts from the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar:
November 15: Expect light to moderate rain/thundershowers in specific areas like South Coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur districts, and isolated occurrences in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara districts. The rest of Odisha is likely to remain dry.
November 16: Anticipate light to moderate rain/thundershowers in Coastal Odisha, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar districts, and isolated instances in Angul, Boudh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri districts. Dry weather is expected over the rest of Odisha.
November 17: Light to moderate rain/thundershowers forecasted in specific areas like North Coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri districts, and isolated occurrences in Sundargarh, Deogarh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Nawarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri districts. Dry weather is anticipated elsewhere in Odisha.
November 18: Light to moderate rain/thundershowers likely in isolated places in North Coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar districts. The rest of Odisha is expected to experience dry weather.
