Bhubaneswar, Aug 5: President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday concluded her three-day official visit to Odisha after offering prayers at a Shiva temple in Ganjam district before returning to New Delhi. During the visit, the President attended several official engagements and interacted with dignitaries while also paying homage at prominent religious sites in the state.

On the final day of her visit, President Murmu visited a Shiva temple located near the Army Air Defence College at Golabandha in Ganjam district, where she had stayed overnight. She offered prayers and sought blessings before beginning her return journey. The President had travelled to Ganjam by the Presidential Special Train on Tuesday as a precautionary measure following the India Meteorological Department's forecast of heavy monsoon rainfall across Odisha.

After completing her temple visit, President Murmu boarded the Presidential Special Train and returned to Bhubaneswar. Elaborate security arrangements were put in place throughout her journey, particularly at Berhampur and Bhubaneswar railway stations, to ensure smooth movement. Ganjam district administration, in coordination with the police and other security agencies, maintained strict security protocols during the President's stay and travel.

On reaching the state capital, the President departed for New Delhi aboard a special Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft from the Biju Patnaik International Airport.

Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Director General of Police Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, senior civil and police officials, and other dignitaries were present at the airport to bid farewell to the President.

President Murmu's visit concluded smoothly amid tight security and well-coordinated administrative arrangements across Odisha.
