Bhubaneswar, Aug 1: The Odisha government's General Administration and Public Grievance Department has announced the cancellation of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi's weekly public grievance hearing scheduled for Monday, August 3, 2026, citing the Chief Minister's prior official engagements.

In an official communication, the department stated that the grievance hearing could not be held as planned due to other important commitments of the Chief Minister. It also informed that the next date for the public grievance hearing would be announced through newspapers and other media platforms in due course.

The Chief Minister's public grievance hearing serves as an important platform for citizens from across Odisha to directly interact with the Chief Minister, submit petitions and seek redressal of issues related to governance, public services and other grievances. The initiative has been widely appreciated for providing people with direct access to the state's highest executive authority and ensuring prompt attention to their concerns.

Officials have advised citizens who were planning to attend the August 3 hearing to await the fresh notification regarding the rescheduled date. They assured that the next hearing would be announced well in advance through official communication channels to enable the public to participate.
