Bhubaneswar, July 30: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi continued his four-day official visit to New Delhi on Thursday, holding a series of high-level meetings with the Centre to accelerate key infrastructure projects, secure pending approvals and strengthen cooperation on the state's development priorities.

During his visit, the Chief Minister is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hold discussions with several Union ministers and senior central government officials. The meetings are aimed at expediting major projects, reviewing the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes and pursuing proposals awaiting approval from the Union government.

According to official sources, the discussions will focus on critical sectors such as railways, national highways, mining, infrastructure, drinking water, rural development and industrial investment. The Odisha government is seeking enhanced central assistance and faster clearances for projects that are expected to boost economic growth, improve connectivity and generate employment across the state.

Officials said the visit reflects the state government's commitment to strengthening Centre-State coordination and ensuring timely execution of development initiatives. The meetings are also expected to assess the progress of ongoing projects and identify areas requiring additional financial and administrative support.

Chief Minister Majhi departed Bhubaneswar on Wednesday for the four-day visit, which will conclude on August 1. The outcomes of these engagements are expected to shape several major policy decisions and investment initiatives, with announcements on central approvals and new development projects likely in the coming days.
