Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha Scheme unveiled in Ganjam and Sonepur by Naveen

Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday unveiled the 'Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha' initiative in the Ganjam and Sonepur districts. This program has a dedicated focus on bolstering the state's infrastructure, particularly at the village and Panchayat levels.
A substantial sum of Rs 251.50 crore has been assigned by the Chief Minister for the development of 12 Assembly constituencies within Ganjam. These constituencies encompass Bhanjanagar, Chhatrapur, Khalikote, Digapahandi, Surada, Sanakhemundi, Gopalpur, Aska, Chikiti, Hinjilikatu, Polsara, and Kabisuryanagar. These funds are earmarked for the implementation of 5,706 development projects.
In addition, Rs 54.50 crore has been allocated for two constituencies in Sonepur district, specifically Subarnapur and Birmaharajpur, with the intent of executing 1,419 development projects.
Under the 'Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha' scheme, each Panchayat will receive Rs 50 lakh to enhance digital infrastructure, promote Odia culture, and preserve the Jagannath culture.
Chief Minister Patnaik stressed during the launch that the primary objective of this program is to develop digital infrastructure in villages, ensuring that villagers have access to internet and banking services. The program also encompasses the establishment of Science Parks and skill development centers in villages, transforming them into thriving work hubs. Moreover, it involves the active participation of primary schools in villages, creating numerous opportunities for the youth, women, and students, ultimately enhancing Odisha's identity as a modern, progressive, empowered, and cultured state.
To ensure the successful execution of the program, Chief Minister Patnaik called for the collaboration of all stakeholders. The program's launch witnessed active participation from residents in the 12 Assembly constituencies in Ganjam and the two constituencies in Subarnapur.
Official sources have reported that the Rs 251.50 crore allocated for Ganjam will support 5,706 projects across 503 Gram Panchayats, while the Rs 54.50 crore allocated for Sonepur will fund 1,419 projects in 109 Panchayats.
