Bhubaneswar, Nov 1: The Odisha government has made a significant decision to offer complimentary Wi-Fi services in all publicly funded universities. 

The Higher Education department has issued directives to the registrars of these universities, requesting comprehensive cost estimates for implementing Wi-Fi infrastructure. 

“The Government of Odisha intends to provide free WiFi facilities for the students in the campus of the Universities for improvement in the academic environment, as most of the study resources/ books are now-a-days available, online. Therefore, you are requested to take steps to furnish a detailed estimate including GST and service charges of executing agency for approval regarding the installation of WiFi facilities in the campus of the Universities,” read a letter of the department.

This initiative aims to enhance students' learning experiences by providing them with uninterrupted internet access and facilitating their access to a wide range of educational materials available online.
