CHSE Odisha releases first plus two cut-off list; Ravenshaw tops all three streams
Bhubaneswar, July 8: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, on Wednesday released the first cut-off marks for admission to Plus Two courses for the 2026-27 academic session, with Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School in Cuttack once again emerging as the most sought-after institution in the State.
According to the first merit list, Ravenshaw has recorded the highest cut-off marks across all three major streams. The minimum qualifying mark for admission has been fixed at 81 per cent for Arts, 93.40 per cent for Science and 82.40 per cent for Commerce. The Science stream cut-off of 93.40 per cent is the highest in Odisha this year, highlighting the growing competition for seats in premier educational institutions.
Following the publication of the first merit list, students across the State have begun checking their eligibility by comparing their examination scores with the prescribed cut-off marks. Candidates selected in the first round are now preparing to complete the admission process at their allotted institutions.
The CHSE has advised selected students to report to their respective higher secondary schools with all necessary documents and complete the admission formalities within the prescribed schedule to secure their seats.
Education officials said the consistently high cut-off marks reflect the increasing demand for admission to reputed higher secondary institutions in Odisha, particularly in the Science stream, where the number of applicants continues to far exceed the available seats. The remaining admission rounds will be conducted based on seat availability after completion of the first phase of admissions.
