5T Chairman VK Pandian visits Puri to oversee progress of Srimandir Parikrama Project

Bhubaneswar, Oct 28: VK Pandian, Chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha, paid a visit to Puri today to assess the progress of the Srimandir Parikrama project. He issued directives for the project's completion by December 15.
Acting on the instructions of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Pandian arrived in the pilgrim town during the early hours of Saturday to review the project. The visit was attended by Puri's Collector, SP, and other senior officials.
Pandian recommended the inclusion of various trees and shrubs related to the Jagannath culture in the landscaping of the Parikrama project.
During his visit, Pandian also urged the acceleration of restoration work for various mutts in the town and assessed the status of the four doors of the shrine. Additionally, he reviewed the progress of the Jagannath Ballabh parking lot, the development of facilities for devotees, the garden, and Sri Setu work, stressing the importance of timely completion.
Furthermore, he emphasized the necessity of relocating various utilities from the 'Meghanad Prachir' and completing the electricity work within the designated timeframe. He directed authorities to make adequate provisions for two-wheeler parking to facilitate the local population.
