Head-on bike collision in Odisha's Nuapada leaves four dead, three injured

Nuapada, October 25: Tragedy struck late last night in Odisha's Nuapada district as a head-on collision between two motorcycles resulted in the loss of four lives, with three others sustaining severe injuries.
Among the deceased, two individuals hailed from Kamalamaal village, one from Bhimapadar village, and one from Bhainushadarah village within the district.
This unfortunate incident occurred near Rajpur village, situated under the jurisdiction of Boden police, as the victims were on their way back from a cultural event organized by a Durga Puja committee in the vicinity.
According to reports, one motorcycle was carrying four people, while the other had three riders, and the two vehicles collided head-on near Rajpur village along the Biju Expressway. Regrettably, the impact of the collision claimed the lives of four individuals on the spot, and three others suffered critical injuries.
Promptly, the local police and fire service personnel rushed to the scene, initiating a rescue operation. The injured victims were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention, and the authorities took charge of the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem examinations.
The police have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the incident to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the tragic collision.
