Former Brahmagiri MLA Ajay Kumar Jena passes away
Bhubaneswar, Oct 24: Ajay Kumar Jena, a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) who represented the Brahmagiri constituency in Odisha, has passed away at the age of 80.
He breathed his last on Tuesday while receiving medical treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. Jena held the distinction of being elected to the Odisha Legislative Assembly on two occasions – first in 1977 and then in 1990, running as a candidate for the Janata Party and later the Janata Dal.
Born on July 27, 1943, in the village of Titipa within the Krushnaprasad block of Puri district, Ajay Kumar Jena was widely recognized as a dedicated and influential social worker within his region.
The news of his demise cast a shadow of sadness over the Brahmagiri area, with an outpouring of condolences and tributes coming from a multitude of people, including political leaders from various parties.
