OSEPA sets April 27 deadline for school uniform distribution
Bhubaneswar, April 9: The Odisha School Education Programme Authority has directed that school uniforms and related items be distributed to all students from Shishu Vatika (pre-school) to Class 10 across Odisha by April 27.
OSEPA has issued comprehensive instructions to District Education Officers (DEOs) and District Project Coordinators, stressing timely preparation and strict quality control of uniforms. The move follows earlier directions from the School and Mass Education Department to complete distribution before the summer vacation.
District-level committees have been tasked with closely monitoring the process to ensure smooth implementation and adherence to deadlines.
For the 2026–27 academic year, students from Shishu Vatika to Class X will receive uniforms, house dresses, shoes, and socks. Additionally, students up to Class VIII will be provided identity cards and caps. Stitching work will continue to be handled by women Self-Help Groups (SHGs), MSEs, and school-level committees.
As per the schedule, school data must be submitted by April 10, work orders reviewed by April 12, and distribution completed by April 27. Quality checks will conclude by April 30, with a final report to be submitted by May 2.
