Bhubaneswar, Mar 17: The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Odisha has issued a public alert about a fraudulent website, www.ceoodisha.com, which is attempting to impersonate its official portal. Authorities clarified that the website is not genuine and is actively spreading misleading and inaccurate information, raising concerns among voters and stakeholders.

Officials revealed that the fake website closely mimics the layout, design, and content of the official CEO Odisha portal, https://ceoodisha.nic.in. This deliberate imitation appears intended to confuse users and create a false sense of authenticity, potentially leading to the misuse of sensitive information.

In its advisory, the CEO Odisha office stressed that https://ceoodisha.nic.in is the only authorised platform for electoral updates and services. Citizens, media organisations, and all stakeholders have been strongly advised not to trust or engage with any other websites claiming affiliation with the office.

With the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of the Electoral Roll approaching, officials cautioned that such misinformation could disrupt the process and mislead voters. The public is urged to stay vigilant, verify information through official sources, and promptly report suspicious online content.
