Vigilance raids unearth 17 plots and multiple buildings owned by Junior Engineer

Bhubaneswar, Oct 18: Vigilance have uncovered multiple assets, including 17 plots, belonging to Prasanna Kumar Pani, a Junior Engineer (Technical Consultant) employed at the Pallahara BEO office. Additionally, they have identified five structures, comprising three multi-story buildings and one flat in Bhubaneswar, owned by Pani.
Officials revealed that these assets encompass 17 plots strategically located in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Pipili, Nimapara, Jankia, and Jatani. During their property searches associated with Pani, investigators have also located bank and insurance deposits amounting to Rs 51 lakh, as well as cash totaling Rs 3.21 lakh, along with other valuable assets.
A specialized team of Vigilance officers, led by six Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), six Inspectors, and supporting personnel, is currently conducting synchronized raids at nine different locations linked to Pani. These actions are executed under the authority of search warrants issued by the Special Judge of Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, and are aimed at investigating allegations of Pani accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
