Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan launches e-IB online system for booking inspection bungalows
Bhubaneswar, Jan 28: Law, Works and Excise Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan on Wednesday launched the e-IB online application system for booking inspection bungalows, also known as Dak bungalows, under the Works Department at Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. The initiative marks a significant step towards digital governance and improved public service delivery in the state.
The newly introduced platform is designed to simplify and streamline the booking and allotment process of inspection bungalows. In the first phase, the e-IB system will cover bungalows located in Bhubaneswar, Puri and Konark. The government plans to gradually expand the facility to other parts of Odisha in a phased manner.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Harichandan said the digital system would ensure greater transparency, accountability and convenience for users. He noted that the e-IB portal (https://eibworks.odisha.gov.in/eIB/) would eliminate delays and inefficiencies associated with the existing manual booking process, benefiting both government officials and the general public.
The launch event was attended by Works Department Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh, EIC-cum-Special Secretary Laxmi Kanta Padhi, Engineer-in-Chief (Civil-cum-Roads) Satyabrata Behera, OBCC Managing Director Sameer Hota, Regional Officer of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Sunil Kumar, along with other senior officials.
