Police conduct surprise raids on bars and nightclubs in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar, Oct 15: In preparation for the upcoming Durga Puja festival and to curb anti-social activities, the Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar conducted inspections on various bars and nightclubs last night.
A dedicated team from the Commissionerate Police carried out surprise checks at multiple establishments located in Chandrasekharpur, Patia, Cuttack Road, Mancheswar, and Infocity.
During these inspections, it was revealed that several bars in the city were operating outside their permitted hours of operation.
According to sources, a significant number of bars in the Patia and Chandrasekharpur areas were found to be open until as late as 2:30 a.m.
The police have stated their intention to take appropriate action against the proprietors of these bars and nightclubs for their violations of the established regulations.
