Naveen unveils development initiatives in Puri and Nayagarh districts under ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’

Bhubaneswar, Oct 13: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday launched a series of developmental projects as part of the "Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha" program for the Puri and Nayagarh districts.
In Puri district, Patnaik inaugurated 4,130 projects valued at Rs 134 crore, while Nayagarh district saw the launch of 2,924 projects with a total worth of Rs 97 crore.
These initiatives are aimed at bolstering rural infrastructure, fostering accelerated growth, and safeguarding the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Jagannath in Odisha.
The primary objective of this scheme is to bridge the gaps in existing small and essential projects, promote infrastructure development, and empower women and youth. It also seeks to address critical educational deficiencies and enhance digital and sports facilities.
The state budget allocates a substantial sum of Rs 4,000 crore for this program, which will encompass all Gram Panchayats in every block across the state, with an entitlement of up to Rs 50 lakh per project. The individual project costs will range from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
Furthermore, these projects will be identified and recommended by local communities, public representatives, and other stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative and community-driven approach to development.
