Bhubaneswar, Oct 11: A heart-wrenching incident occurred near Patia railway station in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday when one individual lost life and two others faced critical conditions during a rescue operation inside a well. 

The mission was to retrieve a cat that had fallen into the open well. Tragically, as the three individuals attempted the daring rescue, they found themselves trapped within the well's depths, as reported by a fire services official.

Upon receiving the distress call, a team of dedicated fire services personnel swiftly responded to the scene, equipped to carry out a daring rescue operation. With their expertise and equipment, the trapped individuals were safely extracted from the well and immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Regrettably, it has been reported that one of the three individuals, aged around 50 years, succumbed to what appears to be asphyxiation. However, there is some relief in knowing that the other two involved in the rescue operation are currently in stable condition.
