CHSE Odisha directs installation of CCTV cameras for 2026 Plus II exams
Bhubaneswar, Oct 16: In a bid to ensure transparency and curb malpractice during the upcoming Plus II examinations in 2026, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha has made the installation of CCTV cameras mandatory at all examination centres across the state.
With only a few months remaining before the practical and theory exams, the CHSE has issued detailed instructions to all higher secondary schools, self-financing colleges, and examination centres to strengthen monitoring and maintain the integrity of the examination process.
According to Controller of Examinations Dr. Prasanta Kumar Parida, CCTV cameras must be installed and kept functional in key areas such as Strong Rooms of Examination Management Hubs (EMHs), Centre Superintendent offices, examination halls, and laboratories. Officials from the council will monitor the footage to ensure the exams are conducted fairly and without irregularities.
Additionally, all principals and headmasters have been directed to submit a compliance report by November 29, confirming the functionality of the CCTV systems. In case of any malfunction, institutions have been advised to repair or replace faulty cameras immediately to ensure smooth and secure exam management.
