At present, a trough line is active over North Coastal and Interior Odisha, extending through Telangana and South Chhattisgarh. Another cyclonic circulation is active over Northeast Jharkhand and its adjoining regions, which may cause thunderstorms and moderate to heavy rainfall across the state over the next three days.
The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Bhubaneswar, has issued yellow warnings for multiple districts, including Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
Several areas have already received rainfall, with Chandbali recording 36 mm, Keonjhar 7 mm, Titlagarh 4 mm, and Nayagarh 5 mm. The IMD has advised residents to stay alert and follow official weather updates for safety and preparedness.
