Subhadra Yojana: Odisha Government to review excluded beneficiaries, assures Deputy CM Pravati Parida

Bhubaneswar, Sept 9: Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Women & Child Development, Pravati Parida, on Tuesday announced that the government will conduct a thorough review of the list of women excluded from the Subhadra Yojana. A high-level meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday to reassess the eligibility criteria and ensure that no genuine beneficiary is left out.
Addressing reporters, Parida said, “From the very beginning, we have maintained that original beneficiaries under the Subhadra Yojana will not be excluded. Once we receive verified reports, those who have been left out will be included through a revised process. We have already sought clarifications from three departments, and a final decision will be taken in the review meeting tomorrow. The outcome will be shared with the media.”
The Women and Child Development Department has sought information from the Commerce and Transport Department regarding women owning four-wheelers, from the Health Department on deceased beneficiaries, and from the Food Supplies Department on landholding details of women who have sold rice. The collected reports will guide the government in finalizing the revised beneficiary list under the scheme.
