Odisha Governor visits Naveen Patnaik, inquires about his health

Bhubaneswar, Aug 25: Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on Monday paid a courtesy visit to Leader of Opposition (LoP) and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence, Naveen Niwas, to check on his health and well-being.
Patnaik was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar earlier this month after he complained of dehydration. He was discharged on August 20 and has since been recuperating at home under the supervision of a medical team that continues to monitor his health regularly.
The Governor’s visit came days after Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met the veteran BJD leader on August 23. The Chief Minister spent around ten minutes at Naveen Niwas, discussing his health condition and wishing him a speedy recovery.
Apart from dignitaries, several BJD leaders, party workers, and well-wishers have also been visiting Patnaik at his residence to express their concern and support.
Significantly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had personally called Naveen Patnaik soon after his hospital discharge to extend his wishes for a quick recovery, highlighting the goodwill extended across political lines.
