Bhubaneswar, Aug 2: In a heart-wrenching incident, a man and his son lost their lives after the motorcycle they were riding collided head-on with a van carrying Bolbom devotees on National Highway 326 near Kanyashram in Koraput district on Saturday.

According to reports, the tragic accident occurred when the father-son duo was travelling from Koraput to Podagad. The van was en route from Kakriguma to Gupteswar, carrying devotees participating in the Bolbom pilgrimage. The impact of the collision was so intense that the motorcycle caught fire instantly. Both victims were reportedly trapped in the flames and were charred to death on the spot.

As of the latest update, the bodies had not been identified and were lying on the roadside, awaiting further investigation. Police and emergency services reached the spot and began the process of clearing the road and collecting evidence.
