Bhubaneswar, June 26: In a major legal development, a Cuttack court on Wednesday acquitted all accused persons, including notorious gangsters Sushil and Sushant Dhal Samant, in the high-profile 2013 Dipu and Om murder case. The verdict comes after years of intense legal proceedings and public scrutiny.

The case involved the brutal killing of Deepak Mallick alias Dipu and Om Prakash Swain alias Om, which had sent shockwaves across the city and garnered widespread attention. The Dhal Samant brothers, who were arrested in 2016, had been accused of orchestrating the murders. However, after a prolonged trial, the court observed that the prosecution failed to establish concrete evidence to prove the involvement of the accused beyond reasonable doubt.
