BJD’s Pinaki Misra and TMC’s Mahua Moitra tie the knot in private ceremony in Germany

Bhubaneswar, June 5: In a surprising and private development, senior Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader and four-time Member of Parliament Pinaki Misra has reportedly married Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra in Germany. The wedding is said to have taken place on May 3 in an intimate ceremony, away from the public eye.
Though neither leader has officially confirmed the marriage, several media outlets have cited sources close to the couple. A photograph of Mahua Moitra, adorned in traditional attire and gold jewellery, has gone viral on social media, further fueling speculation. The image shows her smiling joyfully, reportedly taken during the wedding ceremony.
Pinaki Misra, a prominent legal luminary and veteran politician, was first elected to the Lok Sabha in 1996. He later represented the Puri constituency from 2009 to 2019 as a BJD MP. Mahua Moitra, known for her sharp parliamentary speeches and strong public presence, was first elected to the Lok Sabha from Krishnanagar, West Bengal, in 2019 on a TMC ticket.
The reported union of two influential political figures from different parties has sparked considerable interest across political and social circles.
