Akash Ambani offers prayers at Puri Jagannath Temple

Bhubaneswar, May 29: Akash Ambani, the son of business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, paid a late-night visit to the sacred Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha. The high-profile visit took place around 1:15 am, soon after the completion of the Banakalagi ritual of the deities.
Ambani was given a warm welcome by the temple administration and Odisha Police at the Singhadwara (Lions Gate). The temple authorities, along with his hereditary servitor, Jagannath Kar, accompanied him during the visit. Ambani had the rare opportunity to witness the ‘Bada Singhara Besha’ of Lord Jagannath, a special adornment that occurs late at night, and offered his prayers with deep devotion.
According to his priest, Akash Ambani appeared deeply moved and delighted during the darshan. As a mark of respect and tradition, the temple administration presented him with a 'Khandua Pata', a special handwoven silk cloth dedicated to Lord Jagannath.
To ensure a smooth and secure visit, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration and Odisha Police had arranged elaborate security measures and crowd control protocols, ensuring a peaceful and spiritually enriching experience for the young industrialist.
